Introduction

Hot dip galvanized cable tray is a process of immersing rust removed steel components into a molten zinc solution at around 600 ℃ to attach a zinc layer to the surface of the steel components.

The thickness of the zinc layer shall not be less than 65 μ m for thin plates below 5mm and not less than 86 μ m for thick plates.

The hot-dip zinc layer is formed by zinc in a high-temperature liquid state in three steps: the iron-based surface is dissolved by the zinc liquid to form a zinc iron alloy phase layer; The zinc ions in the alloy layer further diffuse into the matrix to form a zinc iron miscible layer; The surface of the alloy layer is enveloped by a zinc layer. The zinc iron alloy layer formed by this process has stronger corrosion resistance than electroplated zinc, making it suitable for various strong acid, alkali mist and other highly corrosive environments.

1. The galvanized layer forms a dense protective layer on the surface of the steel substrate, which can effectively isolate corrosive media such as water vapor and oxygen, and prevent the substrate from rusting.

2. The zinc layer is thicker, with strong adhesion and corrosion resistance far exceeding that of electroplated zinc. It is suitable for harsh outdoor or corrosive environments such as humidity, high salinity, and industrial atmosphere. Even with slight damage, the zinc layer can continue to protect the steel substrate through the cathodic protection effect of the sacrificial anode.

3. High quality steel substrate combined with reasonable structural design (such as reinforcement bars) enables the bridge to have high mechanical strength and withstand large loads and external impacts.

4. Due to its "maintenance free" or "low maintenance" characteristics, there is no need for frequent anti-corrosion coating during use, saving long-term maintenance costs.
